    Discovery Fundamentals lays the groundwork for mature infrastructure operations management. Using probes, sensors, and discovery patterns, this ITOM application captures IP-enabled configuration items (CIs), and maps their relationships and dependencies, in your ServiceNow CMDB. A combination of course content and lab work will help attendees learn to:
    • Understand the big picture of the ServiceNow Discovery solution
    • Install and configure multiple MID Servers
    • Understand Credential-less and Credential-based Discovery
    • Configure Discovery to find:
    • Linux and Windows Servers
    • Network Devices
    • Applications
    • Prevent Duplicate CIs with CI Identifiers
    • Create New CI Classes
    • Extend Horizontal Discovery with custom:
    • Infrastructure Patterns
    • Application Patterns
    • Learn common troubleshooting techniques

    Attendees participate in real world, relevant lab exercises. The class features lecture and group discussions, as well as extensive hands-on practice, delivered in a wide variety of labs, tech talks and an interactive discussion of a comprehensive, real-world example.     Who Should Attend

    This course is designed for ServiceNow administrators and consultants who need to implement and administer ServiceNow Discovery.

     

    Prerequisites

    None

     

    Certification
    Following this course, ServiceNow recommends that attendees have at least two to three months of hands-on experiences with ServiceNow before attempting the Certification Exam.

     

    This course offers a CIS Discovery exam voucher.

    Tuesday, March 26th - Thursday, March 28th (8:30am – 4:30pm) (includes 1 hour lunch break)

     

    Cost
    $1,900 (Pricing is per individual student up to a maximum of 20 students. Payment will be collected once registration is confirmed via PO or CalCard payment. Must be paid within 15 days of registration.)
